Simply Tina 2.0

October 13, 2022 · In: Uncategorized

Hello!

I’m so happy you’re here! I feel like this is a rebirth of sorts, Simply Tina 2.0.

If you’ve been hanging around since the beginning (thank you by the way!), then you’ll know that I’m a Holistic Nutritionist. That’s how this all started!

Back in January of 2017, I joined a multidisciplinary clinic and started seeing clients for the first time. I was so fired up! I loved helping people along on their wellness journey. Since then, I worked at multiple clinics and was able to build up my practice. I eventually moved everything online and was able to help even more people from all over the world. My heart was so full. While I absolutely loved this fulfilling work, I discovered another passion, cooking.

I mean, I’m Greek, I grew up watching my family cook but I just really started to fall in love with the whole process. Food is more than just food for me. It means family, friends, gratitude and so much more. It reminds me of the times I spent with my grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, etc. Through all of this, I realized that what I create and share with my community is truly a labour of love. It warms my heart when people try my recipes and go through that same process creating with their loved ones. That’s where it all shifted for me.

I decided to officially leave behind my private practice at the beginning of 2022. It was hard. I cried, a lot. Because it’s where it all began. It’s where I fell in love with helping people. But, I knew there was more out there. I knew I could help more people on a larger scale.

Now, I still get to wear my nutritionist hat in my various recipe developer roles, while creating easy to follow recipes with a healthier twist. I believe that food should be enjoyed no matter where you’re at on your wellness journey. And I truly believe that we can all simplify our health and live our lives intentionally through sustainable nutrition and lifestyle practices.

So welcome to this new version of Simply Tina! As I continue to evolve along with my business, you’ll find new recipes on here, overall health and wellness information, photography tips and tricks and more in-between.

Looking forward to all the things to come!

xoxo,

Tina

Another salad with feta and dill. 🤭 Can we of Another salad with feta and dill. 🤭

Can we officially say spring is here in Canada? 🤞🏻 Jks…it’s raining and feels like 2 degrees 😂

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, spring is the time to nourish the liver and gallbladder.

Food like radishes, radicchio, green onions, sprouts, cilantro, other fresh herbs, garlic, sour kind of foods like citrus fruits, vinegar, etc.

Here’s the how to:

2 cups romaine lettuce, chopped
1 cup radicchio, chopped
2-3 radishes, thinly sliced
1/2 cup snow or sugar snap peas, chopped
1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
1-2 green onion stalks, chopped
1/2 cup fresh dill, chopped
1/3 cup crumbled feta (remember we really measure with heart 😂)

Dressing

3 tbsps extra-virgin olive oil
Juice of 1 lemon
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp oregano

Whisk in a bowl or jar to combine.

Add all of the ingredients to a large bowl and pour the dressing on top. Mix to combine. That’s it!

Enjoy! 💚
